1) We adhere to the fundamentals of the Christian Faith

Such doctrines as:

a) The Divine inspiration of Holy Scripture, the Bible: (11 Timothy 3:16)

b) The Trinity - Our God is 3 eternal and equal Persons in one Godhead: (1 John 5:7)

c) The virgin birth of our Lord Jesus Christ: (Luke 1:26-29) (Luke 1:30-33) (Luke 1:34-37)

d) The actual, physical death of our Lord Jesus Christ: (John 19:33)

e) The bodily resurrection of our Lord Jesus: (1 Corinthians 15)

f) The creation of the Universe by God’s spoken word: (Hebrews 11:3)

 

2) We preach a full and sound Gospel to all

Proclaiming that:       

a) All have sinned therefore need to be saved (Romans 3:23)
b) All must repent of their sins before God (Acts 3:19)
c) Christ died for our sins and rose again (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

d) Salvation is only found in The Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 4:12)

e) Eternal Life is received by Faith through Grace (John 3:16) (Ephesians 2:8)

f) Eternal punishment for rejecting God’s Son (John 3:36)

g) Once saved we are forever saved (John 10:28-29)

 

3) We acknowledge the importance of Christian Baptism

This involves:             

a) Only born again believers are baptised (Acts 8:37)

b) Only baptism by total immersion is practised (Acts 8:38)

c) Declaration of our walking in newness of life (Romans 6:4)

d) Living our lives no longer practising sin (Romans 6:6)

 

4) We acknowledge the importance of ‘The Breaking of Bread’ to remember HIM

This involves:          

a) Only baptised believers breaking bread (Acts 2:41-42)

b) Breaking Bread every first day of the week (Acts 20:7)

c) The gathering purpose is remembrance (1 Corinthians 11:23-25)

d) Being open for witnessing by others (1 Corinthians 11:26)

e) Never participating lightly or impurely (1 Corinthians 11:27-29)

5) We lay emphasis on the individual responsibility of each assembly and it’s members

This means:               

a) Having no regional or national organisation (Revelation 1-3)

b) Each assembly having its own leaders/overseers (Acts 20:28)

c) The assembly is accountable only to Christ (Hebrews 13:17)

d) Recognising the roles of audible men and silent women (1 Timothy 2)

e) Honouring the headship of Christ (1 Corinthians 11:1-16)

f) Exercising all the gifts given to all the men (Ephesians 4:11-13)

g) Accepting that the sign gifts have ceased (1 Corinthians 13:8)

6) We appreciate the distinctive Christian hope of The Lords coming again

Believing:              

a) The certainty of his coming (John 14:3)

b) The change in us at his coming (Philippians 3:21)

c) The catching up of living and raised believers (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

d) This coming is before any ‘Tribulation Period’ (1 Thessalonians 1:10)
